About the Role
The Engineer - Electrification designs functional, reliable, and cost-effective high-voltage electrical systems for heavy-duty vehicles. This role supports engineering analysis, electrical design, and development of systems and subsystems for both existing and new vehicles. Work is performed under close supervision, with a focus on supporting senior engineers and contributing to projects of limited complexity.
Responsibilities
  • Perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks according to established engineering standards and processes
  • Support senior engineers in preparing plans, designs, computation methods, and reports
  • Assist with projects of limited complexity in a support capacity
  • Design electrical parts and components to meet parameters and specifications, incorporating quality, cost, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Support basic calculations, analysis, and investigations aligned with engineering standards
  • Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot, or production builds, including issue resolution in manufacturing
  • Process engineering changes through change notices, proposals, and creation of documentation
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams, business support functions, and external suppliers as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Maintain regular attendance
