How you'll contribute
A HIM Analyst who excels in this role:
  • Reviews and resolves billing edits, claim errors, and charge rejects to ensure timely and accurate claims processing.
  • Analyzes and corrects claims requiring clinical expertise, including medical necessity, coding, and billing edit reviews.
  • Collaborates with ancillary departments to obtain documentation, resolve charging, coding, and clinical documentation issues, and communicate necessary corrections.
  • Monitors and maintain charge integrity through charge error corrections, daily Emergency Room charge updates, and Charge Batch Report review.
  • Coordinates annual ICD/CPT code updates and lead Charge Description Master (CDM) reviews to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Supports revenue cycle operations by identifying process improvements and partnering with leadership on billing and charging initiatives.

What we're looking for: Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree is preferred.
  • Certification as a Revenue Integrity Professional is preferred.
  • Must have previous experience in a healthcare business/medical office setting. Experience and working knowledge of various payor types (including Self Pay, Commercial insurance, Workman's Comp, Medicare, and Medicaid) is highly preferred.
