Job description

The beautiful AAA Four Diamond Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort is looking for a Banquet Server (On-Call) to join their team! This property boasts 6 exquisite dining options and over 60,000 square feet of gorgeous indoor/outdoor event space. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional leader with a background in upscale, high-volume restaurant operations.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • A minimum of 6 months as a server, preferably in high volume environment

  • Previous customer service experience

  • The ability to work weekends and holidays as needed, open availability

  • Prior hotel banquet serving experience highly preferable 

Pay Rate: $16.90 an hour plus applicable gratuities 

Schedule: varies based on business needs, weekend availability a must

A Banquet Server is responsible for delivering and serving food and beverage items to banquet guests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

What will I be doing?

As a Banquet Server, you would be responsible for delivering and serving food and beverage items to guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Set banquet tables to meet function specifications

  • Deliver and serve food and beverages, including, but not limited to, meals, condiments and accompaniments

  • Ensure menu knowledge

  • Remove china, glassware, silverware, etc. from tables at the conclusion of the meal period and deliver to the stewarding area

  • Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service

  • Respond to guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner

  • Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships

  • Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
