HilltopSecurities is currently looking to hire a Product Manager in Dallas, Texas.  The Product Manager will lead a group of product analysts who are driving the strategy and design of the Hilltop product. It requires an individual who has demonstrated strong product management skills and a proven history of successful process improvement and team collaboration. The ideal candidate understands that product management is cross-functional and involves business development, strategic thinking, data driven insights, market research, and awareness of goals versus constraints. The product manager will need to drive the balance between the ideal product and the marketable product always thinking ahead for how best to improve the user experience.

  • 4+ years working in the financial industry with knowledge of brokerage and clearing operations and experience in a strategy or product management role.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills that may require rolling up your sleeves to define the solution.
  • Proven ability to drive and deliver a successful product roadmap by engaging with product delivery teams (internal or external) and company leaders.
  • Experience developing product strategy and establishing product positioning by benchmarking the competition and transforming data into recommendations.
  • Demonstrated the ability to define product requirements and lay out a plan to deliver a quality experience that is simple and complete with scheduled incremental improvements after the initial roll out.
  • Comfortable with various toolsets: Salesforce Service Cloud, Power BI, SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint/Teams
  • You are gifted at handling multiple requests at once and understand how to prioritize to meet the needs of the consumer.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills covering complex business topics.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 24 license (preferred), or the ability to obtain both within the first 180 days of hire


  • Partner with stakeholders to develop and execute the product roadmap based on the broader business strategy.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure that there is correct alignment with vendors and the overall organization.
  • Understand the contractual and financial relationship between HTS and its partners that support operations and the various business.Be prepared to make sure provisions of the contract are implemented to the benefit of HTS.
  • Identify areas of improvement with a consultant like mindset while also managing the backlog of requests from consumers of the specific product.
  • Review and approve invoices and SOWs. Working with the contract team to facilitate any changes to the contract and explain those changes to the stakeholders and partners.
  • Maintain relationships with end users and outside vendors through user interviews, market research, and product analytics
  • Maintain relationships with end users and outside vendors to help facilitate the overall relationship and to coordinate smooth workflow between the organizations
  • Help support any renewals or new contracts with the vendors. Maximizing product and services at a reduced cost to HTS.
  • Manage communication and updates with company leadership, delivery teams, operations, marketing, and compliance.

Performs supervisory activities including ability to lead and motivate staff. Hire staff and address performance issues, as necessary.
