Job description

Position Title: IT Specialist
Reports To: Senior Manager of IT 
Location: Plano, TX

Description

Support the organization by managing business processes and systems including ARKRAY’s SAP Business One Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, HighJump Warehouse Management System (WMS), CoreSystems CoreSuite Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) system, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), and ARKRAY’s Complaint Handling System (CHS).

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee system performance for ERP, WMS, and SaaS systems to ensure proper functionality.

  • Gather and analyze system needs while communicating effectively between functional process owners, internal IT resources, and third-party technical support for ERP, WMS, and SaaS applications.

  • Organize validation of software patches, updates, and enhancements, including scheduling and testing routine system updates for new product version releases in coordination with ARKRAY Quality Systems.

  • Lead integration interfaces between ERP, WMS, and SaaS systems to ensure accurate data transfer and transactions in alignment with ARKRAY requirements.

  • Schedule system maintenance and updates as needed in conjunction with the IT department.

  • Provide maintenance and production support of EDI, including resolving issues between ERP, customers, and third-party exchanges.

  • Perform EDI updates, testing, and ongoing support for new and existing relationships.

  • Review and analyze data to identify gaps and inaccuracies within ERP and EDI systems; support continuous improvement related to EDI/ERP data integrity.

  • Support ERP upgrades, including test planning and execution for pre- and post-go-live changes.

  • Analyze and interpret business and systems requirements for EDI/ERP support.

  • Develop and maintain source code, perform application development, and provide support for the Complaint Handling System (CHS), including product/process changes and system validation.

  • Perform testing and support regulatory documentation to ensure accuracy, reliability, and data integrity for EDI, ERP, and CHS.

  • Provide training for newly implemented EDI functions and CHS application requirements.

  • Design, develop, and maintain Crystal Reports for ERP, Complaint Handling, and Sales reporting.

  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science or closely related field (work experience may be substituted for degree).

  • Experience with SAP Business One, HighJump WMS, and CoreSystems CoreSuite is a plus.

  • SQL Server experience is critical, including SQL queries, data warehousing, and in-depth knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

  • Hardware and software troubleshooting skills are essential.

  • Ability to think critically to solve complex technical issues.

  • Experience with FDA software validation processes and procedures, including validation testing, is a plus.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.

  • Strong verbal/interpersonal communication skills; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • 7+ years programming experience (Microsoft Visual Basic, SQL Server, Access, Windows API; Windows 7/8/10; Windows Server 2008/2012/2016; web scripting such as VBScript/JavaScript/HTML a plus).

  • 5+ years of EDI and ERP systems integration and support experience.

  • Experience with systems development, support, and validation within an FDA regulated environment preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift computers and monitors into position on desks or tables (approximately 30 lbs.).

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time using a computer.

  • Ability to spend time on feet and walking around the building.
