The ACE Advisor will provide individualized academic and personal support to a cohort of students enrolled in the ACE program at SUNY Geneseo. This program is designed to support students in completing their degrees on time by providing comprehensive academic, financial, and personal support. The Advisor plays an essential role in guiding students through their academic journey, helping them navigate challenges, and connecting them with resources to ensure timely graduation.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, education, social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in academic advising, counseling, or student services within a higher education setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Proficiency in using advising and student management software
  • A strong commitment to supporting a diverse student population and enhancing student success.
  • Candidates for this position must be eligible to work in the United States. VISA sponsorship is not offered.
