Job description

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for making sure supplies, stock, materials, packages, and/or products are processed through the delivery and/or warehouse system efficiently and safely. The incumbent must maintain and develop inventory distribution controls in accordance with agreed business plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and develop a computerized database tracking the current status, reconditioning and disbursement of equipment.
  • Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another
  • Arrange transportation, schedule staff, and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with little to no delay
  • Receives products and coordinates delivery
  • Prepares loads for shipment
  • Takes steps to avoid quality control issues
  • Makes sure warehouse capacity is kept at optimal levels
  • Manages activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met
  • Oversees inventory of goods and vehicles
  • Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates, and/or the prices of raw materials to keep costs down where possible
  • Streamlines shipping and transportation processes

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree preferred but not required
  • Experience in logistics management preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) year's Warehouse work experience
  • Flexibility to work shifts in a 24/7/365 environment, including weekends, nights, and holidays based on business needs
