Sarasota, FL

PAY RATE: $23/hr+.(DOE) + Bonus/Commission Opportunities (After Perm)

SCHEDULE: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (30-Minute Lunch Break)

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Ad-VANCE Talent Solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our client's fast growing freight brokerage team in Sarasota, Florida. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced third-party logistics (3PL) environment supporting nationwide freight operations across FTL, LTL, drayage, and specialized transportation services.

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting freight brokers with load management, carrier communication, shipment tracking, and operational support from pickup through delivery. This position is ideal for someone with logistics, freight, dispatching, or transportation experience who thrives in a high-energy environment and is eager to grow within the logistics industry.

This role also offers strong career advancement opportunities, including the potential to move into an Account Executive or Freight Broker role with additional commission earning potential.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Support freight brokers with building, posting, booking, and managing freight loads
  • Coordinate daily shipment activity for FTL, LTL, drayage, and international freight
  • Track shipments and verify pickups, deliveries, PODs, and BOLs
  • Communicate professionally with carriers, shippers, warehouses, and customers via phone and email
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls related to shipment updates and operational support
  • Maintain accurate records and shipment data within TMS and CRM platforms
  • Utilize Excel and logistics software for reporting, tracking, and analysis
  • Assist with carrier sourcing, freight quoting, and rate negotiations
  • Resolve shipment issues quickly to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery
  • Support broker accounts and contribute to account growth opportunities eligible for commission bonuses
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience in freight brokerage, logistics coordination, shipping, or dispatching preferred
  • Prior experience as a Broker Assistant or Logistics Coordinator strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced logistics environment
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Professional phone and email communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a startup-style 3PL operation
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in Sarasota, Florida
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer workstation for extended periods
  • Frequent use of phone, keyboard, and multiple computer systems throughout the day
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain focus in a fast-paced office environment
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via email
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and cloud-based software systems
  • Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and CRM platforms
  • Familiarity with DAT, Truckstop, Highway, and TAI software preferred
  • Strong computer navigation and data entry skills
