JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Role:

IET Systems is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Estimator to support our growing portfolio of high-security projects across critical infrastructure, perimeter security, and systems integration. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical knowledge, data analysis, and precision under deadline-driven conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and RFPs to create detailed estimates.
  • Develop complete bid packages including labor, materials, rentals, travel, and subcontractor pricing.
  • Collaborate with Division VPs and Project Admins to produce project schedules and Gantt charts.
  • Work with Sales/Admin Assistants to collect vendor quotes and track bid components.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of all bid data in SimPro or other project management tools.
  • Assist with bid review preparation and weekly internal bid committee meetings.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in construction or systems estimating preferred (security, infrastructure, or government work a plus)
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with estimating software
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Team-oriented communicator who can manage deadlines with multiple stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS
  • Must pass criminal background check.
  • Must pass drug screen.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Time Management skills.
  • Must be a Self-Disciplined and Motivated person.
  • Must be able to multi-task and be an extremely organized.
  • Must be able to travel.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
