Job description

Security Screening Supervisor

Location: Red Oak, TX
Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour
Position Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and professional Security Screening Supervisor to oversee daily screening operations at a high-profile facility in Red Oak, TX. This position is responsible for leading a team of Security Screening Officers, ensuring compliance with security procedures, maintaining operational excellence, and delivering exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate is an experienced leader who can effectively manage personnel, respond to security concerns, maintain detailed documentation, and ensure the consistent execution of screening procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support Security Screening Officers during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure all screening activities are conducted in accordance with site procedures, post orders, and security standards.
  • Oversee screening checkpoints, access control operations, and visitor processing procedures.
  • Conduct shift briefings and communicate operational updates to security personnel.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels and coverage throughout the shift.
  • Train, coach, and mentor officers while providing ongoing performance feedback.
  • Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and unusual situations, taking appropriate action and notifying leadership as necessary.
  • Complete and review incident reports, daily activity reports, and operational documentation.
  • Maintain strong relationships with site leadership, visitors, contractors, and internal security teams.
  • Assist with investigations involving policy violations, security incidents, and safety concerns.
  • Promote a professional environment that balances strong security practices with excellent customer service.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for screening operations during assigned shifts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Prior security experience required.
  • Ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Strong computer skills, including: 
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Outlook
    • Microsoft Teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to professionally interact with employees, visitors, contractors, and management.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective during emergencies and high-pressure situations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Security Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, Lead Officer, or Screening Supervisor.
  • Experience managing screening, access control, or visitor management operations.
  • Experience in corporate, industrial, critical infrastructure, or high-security environments.
  • Experience conducting investigations and writing detailed reports.
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to conduct indoor and outdoor duties in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to climb stairs and respond quickly to emergencies.
  • Ability to maintain alertness and situational awareness throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
