We are currently looking for an Accountantto join our team in our Grandview, Ohio location. This role is a key part of our growing organization and offers the opportunity to make a real impact within a dynamic, collaborative environment. The incumbent will be an integral member of the Finance team. This role is actively involved in the business financial and reporting processes and leverages the SAP ERP system and Microsoft products to manipulate and understand data. This role will prepare financial reports to track the organizations assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for inventory and inventory costing reviews.
  • Responsible for plant expense reviews/accruals.
  • Responsible for plant profitability/gross margin reviews.
  • Work closely with business partners to resolve gross margin, expense, and other financial issues.
  • Process financial close duties in a timely and accurate manner (including completion of all assigned balance sheet account reconciliations).
  • Provide various other financial analysis and reporting as requested by the Finance Leader, Controller, or the CFO.
  • Timely responses to audit requests that cover wide range of topics.
  • Document internal control policies and procedures in areas of responsibility. Assist the Finance Leader and/or Controller with implementation of various new internal control policies and procedures.
  • Continuously strive to improve processes, service quality to internal and external customers, and employee relations.
  • Work effectively with co-workers, internal and external customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listen to and objectively consider ideas and suggestions from others; keep commitments; keep others informed of work progress, timetables, and issues.
  • Comply with the policies and procedures stated in the Injury and Illness Prevention Program by always working in a safe manner and immediately reporting any injury, safety hazard, or program violation.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

Level of education & Experience in general

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
  • 1 - 2 years of relevant accounting experience preferred

Technical skills

  • Sound and balanced business acumen; can be both tactical and strategic in solving business opportunities
  • Good understanding of GAAP & IAS
  • Mastery of O365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Access) - Previous Excel template creation experience strongly desired

Behavioral skills

  • Must have natural curiosity - business process acumen
  • Results-driven and candid - with an innate sense of what will work and what will not
  • Professional, strong communicator and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
