We are currently looking for an R&D Chemist to join our team at our Dublin, Ohio location. This role is a key part of our growing organization and offers the opportunity to make a real impact within a dynamic, collaborative environment. The job holder will be responsible for the development of a line of resins that will address both sustainability and regulatory concerns. As a critical member of this team, this role will be a technical leader driving new developments to advance our understanding of the structure -property relationships that control both processing of our resins to form laminates and performance of those laminates. This role requires strong collaboration within the organization that includes regular interactions with scientists, technicians, technical service, manufacturing, sales and product management.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Manage and drive both short-term and long-term projects to completion which will involve technology development/ formulation modifications to meet customer application requirements
  • Collaborate across groups to help resolve customer issues, Customer and manufacturing quality issues and improve overall productivity and efficiency related to our efforts
  • Effectively communicate throughout the organization
  • Up to 20% travel may be required.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
Level of education & Experience in general
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry with a minimum of 3 years industrial experience is preferred
  • Must be self-motivated, well-organized, persistent, team-oriented, and adept at multi-tasking
  • Must have excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Must have effective project management skills and use of statistical experimental design practices
