This Principal Specialist (P3) High-Performance Computing (HPC) candidate will provide Raytheon Digital Technology with High Performance Computing Administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment. This candidate will understand Windows Server internals, and knowledge of Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods. 

This position is an onsite role in our Tucson, Arizona location. Relocation support will be provided to the selected applicant, if they meet company policy eligibility requirements.

What You Will Do:

  • Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. 
  • Help develop and implement new technologies based upon industry best practices. 
  • Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems at a high scope and complexity to include the integration of High-Performance Computing hardware, software, and operating systems (OS).
  • Understanding of software tools, automated scripts, batch schedulers, hardware, and system-level troubleshooting, to lead and support the engineering community.
  • Perform OS tuning to maximize system performance on high performance computing systems.  Work across DT functions to standardize processes and procedures. 
  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements. 
  • Provide documentation and training on advanced DT HPC processes and procedures. Be a mentor to junior team members.
  • Must be able to obtain required Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification) within 6 months of hire date.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience 
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience in Windows and/or Linux Server Environments including directory services management, and system hardening.
  • Experience maintaining a medium sized Microsoft Windows Server environment.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Experience with High Performance Computing scheduling and monitoring tools.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.
  • Experience in project leadership, management, or project management in a DT domain and basic to advance scripting experience.
  • An active DoD Secret or Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Windows and Unix security hardening, systems integrations, advanced troubleshooting, and authentication service integration (LDAP).
  • Unix (Including Linux and Solaris), experience in a medium to high complex environment(s).
  • Working knowledge of High-Performance Computing scheduling and monitoring tools such as SLURM, Grid Engine and Ganglia.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
