Kanki Home of Steaks and Sushi - Dining Servers

We have immediate opportunities for Servers at Kanki Japanese House of Steaks and Sushi.

We are looking for team members who share our values of respect, integrity, and work ethic.

Shift Lead positions are also available after initial 90 days. This position can go up to $10/hr on Lead shifts.

Kanki is more than just a restaurant; it's the best-tasting show in town. Our friendly staff welcomes guests to a fun atmosphere where they can enjoy delicious food and be entertained by our talented chefs. As a Dining Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a welcoming service to guests and create memorable guest experiences
  • Maintain current knowledge of all food and beverage menus
  • Guide guests through menu questions and make thoughtful recommendations
  • Perform accurate cash/credit handling and POS procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness of assigned station
  • Assist in nightly side work

What we need from you:

  • Great customer service and communication skills
  • Strong multitasking abilities
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time in a fast-paced environment
  • Personal reliable transportation, phone, and email
  • Weekend availability, (You must have full availability on Sundays, this is a deal breaker)

What we offer:

  • 18% Service Charge added to parties of Six or more
  • No late nights. We close at 9pm Sunday-Thursday, and 9:30 on Friday and Saturday.
  • Paid Time Off for ALL Full Time team members
  • 401K with match after eligibility period for employees 21 and older
  • Benefit eligibility after 90 days for full-time employees, including health, dental, vision, and HSA
  • Discounted meals
  • $7.25 per hour plus tips

THE KANKI EXPERIENCE
When you visit of our Raleigh-Durham restaurants, you’ll be greeted by our friendly staff and seated at a large table surrounding one of our teppan grills.
Next, you’ll choose drinks, starters, sushi, hibachi and more from our extensive menu. All teppanyaki dishes will be made-to-order, and our chefs will prepare your hibachi chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon or scallops, along with rice and a selection of veggies, right in front of your eyes.
Of course, half of the fun is watching our chefs as they expertly chop, dice and cook your meal with the flip of a knife, providing mealtime entertainment your whole table is sure to enjoy!
