What You'll Do #LI-TC1

BridgeBio is establishing a dedicated, senior U.S. public policy leadership role focused on CMS, HHS, and coverage and payment policy that directly affects patient access and innovation across the BridgeBio portfolio.

The Executive Director, U.S. Public Policy will own the end-to-end U.S. public policy strategy related to Medicare, Medicaid, and payment models, and will be accountable for shaping policy positions that influence access, reimbursement, and long-term portfolio value, and advising on implementation internally.

This role operates at the enterprise level, advising executive leadership, shaping portfolio strategy, and serving as BridgeBio's primary public policy authority with U.S. regulators.

Responsibilities

Lead U.S. public policy strategy

  • Define and lead BridgeBio's U.S. public policy strategy, particularly Medicare (Parts B and D), Medicaid, alternative and value-based payment models, IRA implementation, CMMI initiatives, and coverage and reimbursement policy
  • Serve as the company's internal expert on U.S. public policy, advising leadership on policy design, implementation risk, and long-term implications
  • Translate complex public policy developments into clear strategic options and recommendations for executive leadership

CMS, HHS, and external engagement leadership

  • Act as BridgeBio's primary interface with CMS and HHS, engaging directly with agency leadership, career staff, and relevant HHS offices
  • Bring and leverage an extensive existing network across CMS and HHS to inform strategy and anticipate policy direction
  • Represent BridgeBio externally in public policy coalitions, trade associations, and forums where coverage, payment, and access policy are central

Analytical leadership and policy modeling

  • Apply strong analytical and modeling skills to assess financial, access, and portfolio-level impacts of U.S. public policy proposals and payment models
  • Partner closely with Strategic Finance, Commercial, Market Access, and Government Affairs teams to model implications of Medicare and Medicaid policy changes, reimbursement dynamics, and payment reform initiatives
  • Develop rigorous, data-driven policy analyses to support advocacy positions and executive decision-making

Cross-functional executive partnership

  • Work collaboratively with Commercial, Government Affairs, Market Access, Strategic Finance, Medical, and Patient Advocacy teams to ensure public policy strategy is fully integrated across the organization
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on U.S. public policy matters
  • Prepare executive level briefings, scenario analyses, and policy updates

What Success Looks Like

  • BridgeBio is recognized as a credible, informed, and effective policy voice with CMS and HHS
  • Policy risks and opportunities are proactively identified and integrated into portfolio and commercial strategy
  • Executive leadership has clear, data-driven policy guidance to support access, reimbursement, and long-term value creation
  • Durable policy frameworks are in place to support multiple affiliates and evolving assets

Where You'll Work

Who You Are

  • Graduate-level degree required (MPH, MPP, JD, PhD, MBA)
  • Prior CMS experience, payor, and/or top-tier management consulting experience with deep CMS and HHS exposure strongly preferred
  • Extensive expertise in Medicare, Medicaid, and U.S. payment models
  • Recognized public policy expert with demonstrated experience engaging CMS and HHS as regulators
  • Extensive professional network across CMS and HHS
