Job description

Provide technical support for all areas of electrical controls for Turn Key Finishing Systems, including equipment maintenance and training.  Employee will be self motivated to provide PLC programming and HMI applications for multiple projects.

  • Estimate special control packages for systems being quoted, including conceptual design of specific processes and related labor and materials.
  • Design electrical control packages for current Finishing system projects, including drawing schematics and ordering required materials.
  • Writing programs for PLC’s.
  • Develop graphic screens for HMI’s.
  • Set up program of VFD’s.
  • Provide technical assistance for panel fabrication and testing.
  • Draw install diagrams to assist installation crews when required. Provide technical support to the electrical and mechanical and Sales teams.
  • Interface with customer for remote Ethernet communications to remotely access system control panel.
  • Provide onsite training of system operations to customer personnel at Start-Up; written description may be required
  • Write up a System Sequence of Operation.
  • Provide technical support to customers.
  • Provide technical support to the Service Department when necessary.
  • Work with OEM’s regarding warranties.
  • Track engineering time per phase and material purchases; weigh against project estimates.
  • Other engineering projects and tasks are assigned as needed.
