Pay Rate: $20-$23/hr

Hours: Monday- Friday 5am-3:30pm
Machine Operator Job Description:
  • Operate and maintain all machines in material processing departments under the supervision of the departmental lead and/or supervisor.
  • Operates all equipment in the MATERIAL PROCESSING departments, including Shear, Brake, Hem-Saw and Drill.
  • Participate in pre-and post-planned readiness of parts and tools, for planned maintenance activities.
  • Must participate in cleaning and grinding and installation of components parts for departmental related as directed by departmental lead man and/or supervisor.
  • Participate in housekeeping activities as directed by lead man and/or supervisor.
  • Participate in the installation activities of components as directed by lead man and/or supervisor.
  • Assist departmental team members in the completion of job functions as directed by the lead man and/or supervisor.
  • Complete knowledge of departmental safety policies (EX: PROPER USE OF MACHINES AND TOOLS AND THE PURPOSE OF SAFETY DEVICES).
  • Participate in operational Excellence teams.
  • Interact and cooperate with all fellow team members to essentially achieve our goal of providing equipment that meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations.
  • Other assignments, tasks or special projects as needed to support department efficiency and productivity.
Machine Operator Skills:
  • Ability to work any shift.
  • Ability to read and interpret tape measure and/or measuring devices.
  • Ability to use numerous hand tools (POWERED AND MANUAL), as well as being able to be trained or have experience operating a variety of automatic material processing equipment.
  • Ability to run Plate Rolls and CNC Plasma machine is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to safely operate overhead cranes and forklift.
