We are looking for a Production Saw Operator to join our team!

INTERESTED IN LEARNING MORE ABOUT THE JOB?

Job Duties:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, planning, sketches for material prep.
  • Set-up simple fixtures, stops, and other aids to facilitate operation.
  • Perform in-process inspections on all parts
  • Conform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System and any and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS9100, for example).
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S standards.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Operate horizontal and vertical band saws to cut raw material to required dimensions in accordance with work instructions, engineering drawings, and production schedules.
  • Verify material type, size, and traceability prior to cutting to ensure compliance with customer and quality requirements.
  • Perform accurate measurements using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure cut material meets dimensional specifications.
  • Load, unload, and stage raw material safely using overhead cranes, forklifts, or other material handling equipment as required.
