Job Summary
The Saw Operator retrieves, inspects, and cuts products to customer supplied specifications.
Job Responsibilities
  • Operates saw
  • Inspects and cuts parts for shipment per Operator instructions
  • Maintains records of production and quality issues as specified
  • Notifies supervisor of non-confirming product or problems with machine
  • Communicates saw issues with the next saw operator
  • Patches parts/scrap as needed
  • Keeps saw & yard area clean and neat
  • Occasional use of cleaning chemicals and power tools

Job Requirements
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend drawings & quantities
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Ability to perform these operations using metric units
  • Ability to deal with problems involving repairs, patching & overall working of the saw
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
