Description
Under direct supervision, this role supports the shipping team by preparing packages, staging shipments, and ensuring accurate documentation and system updates. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced logistics environment.
Requirements
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
PRODUCTION
  • Assist with picking, packing, and labeling outgoing shipments.

  • Stage and organize shipments for carrier pickup.

  • Verify order accuracy and report discrepancies to the Shipping Lead.

  • Help generate shipping labels and documentation using internal systems.

  • Load packages onto trucks or pallets in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping area.

  • Support inventory movement and cycle counts as needed.

  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

  • Operates forklifts and power tools as needed.

MAINTENANCE
  • General housekeeping in area of work. (Clean up work area after each job)

  • Responsible to report any equipment that is not working properly to Shipping Foreman

ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Follow instructions of Supervisor

  • Communicates well with Shipping Supervisor and team members

  • Reports accidents or any incidents to Shipping Supervisor.

  • Reports discrepancies to buyers

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
  • Skilled in reading, writing and arithmetic in English/Spanish.

  • Ability to read a tape measure.

  • Ability to understand & carry out oral and/or written instructions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Simple grasping with both hands, 3-6 hours.

  • Reaching below shoulder, 3-6 hours.

  • Pushing, pulling with both hands, 1-3 hours.

  • Lift materials up to 60 pounds 20 times a day.

  • 3-6 hours of standing, bending, stooping and reaching throughout the day.

  • 1-3 hours of walking within the warehouse.

  • Up to 1 hour of sitting a day.

WORKING CONDITIONS
PLANT/YARD ENVIROMENT:
  • Single story insulated metal building with 27' ceiling.

  • Temperatures ranging form 35 - 110 degrees, no heating or air conditioning.

  • Florescent lighting, and sky lights, low noise level, exposure to welding flash.
