As an Encapsulation Technician for OPC, safety is your top priority, both for yourself and customers you serve.  You'll perform essential home service installations that improve comfort and protection, all while building a stable and rewarding career.

Responsibilities

OPC Pest Services is a premier provider of pest control solutions and we have a legacy of excellence and the stability of an industry leader in Greater Louisville and Jefferson County since 1972.  In June 2024 we partnered with Murray's hometown heroes at McGee's Pest Control to bring new home services to the Western Kentucky area.

You will…  

  • Prepare and install services such as attic remediations, crawl space encapsulations, gutter protection systems and other home service products;
  • complete all required service-related documentation;
  • work in a variety of environments including rooftops, crawl spaces, attics, etc.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Skilled labor experience is a plus!

Must be able to pass criminal history background check, physical exam and drug screen.   

Physical Demands / Working Environment:  

Candidates must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations:   

  • Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer’s weight capacity
  • Constant walking, standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting, climbing on ladders and roofs, reaching overhead, and squeezing with both hands
  • Install encapsulation in low light conditions
  • Lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.  
  • Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc.  
  • Able to work in all types of weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, sleet, hail, snow and ice 
  • Noise level in work environment is generally loud depending on worksite where assigned, such as in new construction, while vacuuming insulation, etc.
