Job description

Siepe is a fast-growing technology company headquartered in Dallas, TX - focused on helping investment managers turn complexity into clarity. We build software and data solutions that give hedge funds and financial services firms the visibility, speed, and confidence they need to make better decisions - faster.
Our platform delivers a unified source of truth that empowers our clients with real-time, actionable insights. We don't just serve the industry - we help modernize it!
Siepe is profitable, privately held, and growing fast. We offer more than just competitive pay and great benefits-we offer the chance to do impactful work alongside sharp, driven teammates in a culture that rewards curiosity, initiative, and follow-through. Whether you come from finance, tech, or are charting a new path, you'll find meaningful problems to solve, real ownership, and the momentum to grow your career with purpose.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Support and administer over 20 AWS tenant environments hosting Siepe SaaS platforms and client infrastructure.
  • Manage approximately 400 EC2 instances and supporting AWS infrastructure, primarily Windows-based systems.
  • Perform all infrastructure adds, moves, changes, upgrades, and decommissioning activities across client and internal environments.
  • Deploy new client environments as new customers are onboarded.
  • Ensure systems are properly monitored, patched, backed up, secured, and maintained to meet operational and compliance requirements.
  • Run weekly infrastructure health checks and proactively identify operational risks or performance concerns.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce cloud operating costs by removing unused resources, rightsizing systems, and improving resource utilization.
  • Manage Microsoft Active Directory environments across multiple AWS tenants and trusted domains.
  • Maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, DHCP, DFS/DFSR, domain trusts, and role-based access controls.
  • Manage all user access, permissions, authentication, and security policies.
  • Work with clients to configure secure external access solutions using SAML2, Single Sign-On (SSO), Identity Providers (IdP), VPNs, and related authentication technologies.
  • Ensure vulnerabilities are identified, tracked, remediated, and documented in a timely manner.
  • Maintain security best practices across Windows servers, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Assist with annual SOC 2 Type II audits, evidence collection, remediation tracking, and operational compliance initiatives.
  • Escalate systemic risks, recurring issues, or infrastructure improvement opportunities to the Infrastructure leadership team.
  • Provide advanced infrastructure support to developers, DBAs, QA teams, and technical leads.
  • Troubleshoot complex application, networking, authentication, and infrastructure-related issues.
  • Collaborate directly with clients to support connectivity, integrations, onboarding, and environment troubleshooting.
  • Support hybrid networking and connectivity between AWS environments and Siepe corporate infrastructure using Meraki SD-WAN.
  • Utilize scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as PowerShell and Terraform to automate operational tasks and environment deployments.
  • Leverage AI tools and automation technologies to improve operational efficiency, accelerate issue resolution, and streamline infrastructure management.
  • Maintain and continuously update system documentation and operational knowledge bases to ensure accuracy and operational readiness.
  • Track all work activities, project updates, service requests, and time entries within ConnectWise PSA.
  • Provide weekly status reports to technical leads and management teams outlining progress, operational issues, risks, and remediation activities.

What You'll Bring
  • Extensive experience supporting enterprise Windows infrastructure environments hosted in AWS.
  • Experience administering large-scale EC2-based environments and multi-tenant cloud infrastructures.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, including domain trusts, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, DFS/DFSR, and identity management.
  • Networking expertise including Layer 3 routing, firewall administration, VPN technologies, and SD-WAN connectivity.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server, Windows application servers, and web server environments.
  • Strong understanding of vulnerability management, patching, backup systems, monitoring platforms, and operational security best practices.
  • Experience with SAML2, Single Sign-On (SSO), Identity Providers (IdP), and secure remote access solutions.
  • Experience with automation and scripting tools including PowerShell and Terraform.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple environments and competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience working within Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments.
  • Experience supporting alternative investment management or financial services organizations.
  • Familiarity with Meraki networking technologies and SD-WAN deployments.
  • Experience with AWS cost optimization and cloud governance initiatives.
  • Familiarity with SOC 2 Type II operational and security controls.
  • Experience with monitoring platforms, endpoint management tools, and operational automation.
  • Exposure to DevOps methodologies and CI/CD environments.
  • Some after-hours or weekend maintenance work may be required.
  • Candidates must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of independently managing operational responsibilities.
  • This is a hands-on engineering role requiring both technical depth and strong customer-facing communication skills.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the stability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency of Siepe's cloud infrastructure environments.

Must have current and ongoing authorization to work in the country of employment without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
