Hourly Range: $18.50-$19.50

**All Applicants must comply with ITAR Requirements. US Citizens or Permanent Residents only** 

The Die maintenance Helper/Saw Helper assists in operating overhead cranes and tooling set-ups.  The Helper will learn essential skills to support our forging operations and assist in equipment maintenance for the press. As a result, the Helper will gain basic understanding of die heating furnaces, wheel setups, and the use of an overhead crane.

·       Core responsibilities include:

·       Follow direction of the acting supervisor, lead man, and/or supervisor

·       Maintain clean and safe working environment; embrace a clean as you go policy.

·       Load and unload dies from die heating furnaces in accordance with WM best practices.

·       Assist in the wheel tool set ups.

·       Learn the basic skills of a helper position which include but are not limited to:

o   Operate a forklift, manipulator, overhead crane under supervision.

o   Operate tools such as hand grinders, wheel grinders, impact wrenches, sledgehammers, etc.

o   Properly clean and protect dies to prevent corroded dies.

o   Fix air and gas hoses.

o   Basic understanding of specialized equipment such as presses, furnaces, etc.

o   Basic understanding of die/insert holder and press setups.

o   Understanding of shopfloor instructions.

o   Understanding best practices of material handling.

As a key member of Weber Metals, additional responsibilities also include but are not limited to:

·       Demonstrating importance of the Weber Metals Safety Policy to the success of Weber Metals.

·       Demonstrating importance of the Weber Metals Quality Policy to the success of Weber Metals.

·       Demonstrating knowledge and awareness of the Weber Metals Environmental Policy.

·       Demonstrating knowledge and awareness of the Weber Metals Business Management System.

·       Working in a team environment to meet target dates.

·       Responsible for reporting to work on time, with proper PPE, and being fully engaged for the entire shift.

·       Other duties as assigned

To perform this job successfully, an individual must:

o   Be able to comply with ITAR and EAR residency requirements

o   Be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

o   High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

o   Minimum 90 days introductory period.

o   Experience in the forging or metals industry is preferred.
