JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Technology Support Specialist
Location: ERRC
Department: Technology
Reports to: Director of Technology
FLSA Class: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
The Support Specialist helps people with tech problems. They fix basic hardware and software issues, guide users, reset passwords, install simple programs, fix school devices, and answer questions by phone, email, or tickets. Will manage bus video as requested.
DUTIES
  1. Connect, name, image and troubleshoot district computers and peripheral devices.
  2. Complete helpdesk tickets and/or escalate tickets to the next level of support.
  3. Secondary support for district servers and software maintenance.
  4. Monitor, test, repair, track warranty and replace hardware when needed.
  5. Maintain proper technology inventory records for district buildings.
  6. Provide software deployment, discovery, and troubleshooting on local machines.
  7. Update and maintain computer accounts within Active Directory for district units.
  8. Plan and provide training for district software and hardware specific needs.
  9. Assist with district deployment and management of technology equipment.
  10. Coordinate and assist with data transfer and load for district software.
  11. Maintain hardware on district 1 to 1 devices.
  12. Other duties as requested by the Director of Technology.
  13. Bus Video Management: Download, archive, and distribute bus videos per helpdesk ticket requests.
  14. Bus Camera Hardware Support: Monitor, test, repair, track warranties, and replace bus camera hardware.
  15. Transportation Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records for transportation-related technology.
  16. Training for Transportation Staff: Plan and deliver training specific to transportation video software and hardware needs.

QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Candidates must have a high school diploma and two years of related college credit or equivalent and proven aptitude for learning various technologies.
  2. Proficiency in MS Windows, MS Office, Google Applications and technical information is essential.
  3. Ability to clearly communicate well both verbally and in writing to staff with varying degrees of technical knowledge is essential.
  4. Ability to multi-task, self-motivate, attention to detail, good problem solving and solid ability to maintain detailed reports and filing systems.
  5. Two years experience with technology is preferred.
  6. Employees must be able to see, hear and speak clearly; have a valid driver's license; bend and stand for extended periods of time; and repetitively lift 40 pounds.

Annual Pay is starting at $37,750
