Founded in 1980, National Scouting Report is one of the most established and respected organizations in college recruiting. We work directly with college coaches, student-athletes, and families to bring clarity, structure, and verified evaluation to the recruiting process. Our mission is simple: help athletes find the right college fit—athletically, academically, and personally.
Role Overview: Volleyball Scout
NSR is seeking a Volleyball Scout with collegiate playing or coaching experience who understands the demands of the game and the realities of college recruiting. This role blends on-court evaluation, relationship-building, and consultative guidance for volleyball athletes and their families.
You will serve as a trusted resource in your territory—identifying talent, educating families, and helping athletes navigate their recruiting journey while representing one of the most recognized brands in college scouting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and evaluate prospective softball student-athletes at showcases, tournaments, and local events
  • Conduct interviews with athletes and families to assess athletic, academic, and recruiting readiness
  • Enroll qualified athletes into appropriate NSR recruiting programs
  • Build relationships with high school and club coaches, trainers, and volleyball organizations
  • Collaborate with NSR’s internal recruiting and evaluation teams
  • Maintain accurate records and reports within NSR systems
  • Represent NSR professionally at events and in the community
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Collegiate volleyball playing experience or HS / Club / College coaching background

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable working with families in a consultative, educational role
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a flexible schedule
  • Sales or marketing experience is a strong plus

  • Passion for helping athletes reach the college level
Why Join NSR
  • Flexible, autonomous role with national brand support
  • Uncapped, performance-based earning potential
  • Professional training, tools, and proven recruiting systems
  • Meaningful, mission-driven work in the softball community
  • Growth opportunities within a respected organization
Ready to Make an Impact?
If you’re driven by the game of volleyball and motivated to help the next generation of athletes find their college path, we want to hear from you.
