Job description

Job Title: Facility Access & Day Porter Assistant Location: Bellevue, WA & Everett, WA Type: Contract Compensation: $37.00 - $74.00 per hour Contractor Work Model: Onsite

Responsibilities

  • Manage the flow of the front desk, greet guests, assist visitors, and ensure adherence to Facility Access and Security Procedures.
  • Assist with facility-related tasks including requests from staff via service desk portal, JIRA, and general administrative duties.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics for conference rooms, including scheduling, catering, setup, and cleanup.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding staff and direct guests or vendors to designated areas within the facilities.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory of common areas, breakrooms, and appliances such as refrigerators, coffee machines, and microwaves.
  • Handle receipt and distribution of mail and packages, including shipping assistance as needed.
  • Learn and understand business operations to provide value-added service and strengthen vendor relationships.
  • Support emergency response efforts as part of the team.
  • Participate in regular cleaning and maintenance of breakrooms and conference rooms on a weekly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Use Maptician to assist staff in reserving "hotel" desks and float offices for specific staff members.
  • Travel between Bellevue and Everett locations to provide additional support as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the facilities team.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of front desk reception or related customer service experience; high-volume reception experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Reliable and dependable with the ability to work flexible hours from 6:30am to 5:30pm.
  • High school diploma required; AA degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; familiarity with JIRA service desk, Maptician, and Confluence is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with the role.
