Job Summary:
NEOGOV is the employer for the City of Victoria, seeking an IT Support Technician to provide technical support to city staff. This role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, as well as managing helpdesk tickets and assisting the IT department with various projects.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Configures, installs, troubleshoots, and repairs desktop and laptop computers and peripherals, mobile devices, network printers, and common software applications such as email, Office, and cybersecurity applications.
โ€ข Monitors and responds to help desk calls and tickets, ensuring effective resolution or escalation when appropriate.
โ€ข Manage computer inventories.
โ€ข Assists IT department staff with tasks and projects as assigned.
โ€ข Performs related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Associateโ€™s degree in computer science or related field and one (1) year of technical support experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experiences.
โ€ข A valid State driverโ€™s license may be required.
โ€ข Basic understanding of cyber security best practices.
โ€ข Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
โ€ข Competencies in technical problem solving, situational analysis, customer service, team collaboration, & SLA awareness.
