Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: This part-time position is responsible for assisting Help Desk Technician in providing IT support and assistance to end users and consists of answering help desk calls and troubleshooting and resolving related IT issues. This position will also assist in general IT projects as assigned. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Receive phone calls, and log and complete work tickets for company-wide hardware and software issues. Provide application and hardware support for end users, troubleshoot and support all applications, hardware, software installed on end user computers company wide Install and update various applications, including Flash, Adobe Reader, Java, Windows Install and run network cable at new locations Organize and maintain clean, orderly IT office. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform other duties and projects as required by management. Provide cursory evaluation and examination of donated computer goods for resale. May train staff users to use equipment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 6 months experience troubleshooting PC/software related issues 1 year of IT Help Desk Experience preferred. Excellent customer service and problem solving skills, preferably in a retail environment IT Certification strongly preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of LAN/WAN connections, local printers, cable installation helpful. Knowledge of PC repair Strong knowledge in all Microsoft applications. Good organizational and time management skills. Demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules. Good follow through on projects and deliverables. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrate resourcefulness and ability to take initiative in development and completion of projects
