Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Help Desk Specialist to support a company focused on mission-critical defense communications and operational support systems. This position is on-site in Denver, CO . The Help Desk Specialist will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for secure communication systems, ensuring continuous operational availability across a 24/7 environment. This is an opportunity to directly support national defense missions through critical technical support and problem resolution. Responsibilities for the Help Desk Specialist include: * Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for hardware, software, application, and network-related issues. * Monitor and manage support requests through ticketing systems while ensuring timely incident resolution. * Troubleshoot communication, connectivity, and system performance issues. * Support mission readiness through system testing, operational monitoring, and lab environment support. * Escalate complex issues, document resolutions, and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications for the Help Desk Specialist include: * 2+ years of experience in help desk, technical support, network operations, or systems administration environments. * Experience supporting Windows operating systems, applications, and network infrastructure. * Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, routing, switching, and general troubleshooting methodologies. * Strong communication, customer service, analytical, and documentation skills. * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field preferred. * Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
* Credential: Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
* Certification (preferred): Security+, Network+, A+, or equivalent DoD 8570-compliant certification
