Job Summary

The Desktop Support Technician provides basic desktop support to all organizational personnel; troubleshoots basic software, hardware, and other Information Technology (IT) related issues; tracks the Help Desk e-ticketing system and responds to requests in a timely manner; and performs general IT device repair.


Responsibilities
  • Provide basic desktop support to all organizational personnel

  • Troubleshoot basic software, hardware, and other IT related issues

  • Track the Help Desk e-ticketing system and respond to requests in a timely manner

  • Set up Virtual Conferencing (VC) systems in conference and meeting rooms

  • Answer any calls that may come to the help desk phone and give on-site support as needed

  • Perform IT device repair (i.e., laptops, cell phones, tablets, etc.)

  • Assist with maintaining IT Department inventory

  • Assist with IT projects as requested

  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum 6 months experience in an IT desktop support role, preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree or Associates degree, preferred

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications, required

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, can effectively interact with personnel at all levels of the organization

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, able to solve problems independently and collectively

  • Must be personable with a positive attitude and a strong sense of customer services

  • Must be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, and may occasionally need to climb a ladder
