Job Summary:
The Help Desk Technician will assist with the installation, support and maintenance of servers or other company systems.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide end-user support, resolving technical issues and provides technical assistance for all Operating systems; Provide remote support through phone or end-user via phone;
• Set up new hires with equipment and appropriate access to the company's system;
• Troubleshoot issues with equipment like printers, computers and servers
• Assist with the maintenance of the business software applications;
• Assist with the implementations, installations, configurations, monitoring, trouble shooting and evaluation of existing and new operating system;
• May confer with database programmers, analysts or other system administrators.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
• High School diploma or the equivalent required;
• Minimum of three (3) years of proven experience as a help desk technician or IT customer support role is required;
• Associates' Degree in directly related discipline or current CompTIA Certificates (A+, Network+ and/or Security+) may be considered in lieu of one (1) year of the required experience;
• Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control;
• Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products;
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues;
• Proficiency in English;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Customer-oriented and cool-tempered.
Working Conditions:
• Work is primarily conducted in an office environment (Private or Semi-Private Office) but also requires occasional travel to off-site work locations;
• Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel;
• Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection;
• May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
Physical Requirements (With or without Reasonable Accommodation):
• Must be able to lift and carry 20 pounds;
• Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities which permits employee to communicate effectively;
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time;
• Sufficient vision or other powers of observation which permits employee to conduct analysis and investigations;
• Sufficient manual dexterity which permit the employee to perform routine office duties;
• Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes to perform office duties and travel when necessary to off-site locations.
