Role Summary

As a Corp Program Manager on the Enterprise Payments team, you will support HEB’s rapidly evolving payment ecosystem by delivering high impact analytics, managing day-to-day vendor interactions, tracking payment industry changes, and supporting implementations. You will help ensure HEB meets all network mandates, maintains compliance, and delivers reliable, low friction payment experiences for our customers across stores and digital channels.

You will collaborate closely with technology teams, product partners, operations, legal, security, vendors, and industry groups to ensure HEB’s payment programs are compliant, efficient, and aligned to business objectives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to become an expert in merchant payment flows.

  • Handle day-to-day payment analytics by coordinating required data, validating results, and delivering insights that drive business decisions, cost optimization, and customer experience improvements.

  • Manage payment compliance by tracking card network mandates, ensuring required technology work is in place, and coordinating with Legal, Security, PCI, and product/tech teams to maintain alignment across initiatives.
  • Support major payment incidents by engaging on calls, ensuring vendors provide timely and appropriate support, and applying payment expertise to assess customer impact and guide mitigation actions.
  • Build deep expertise in HEB’s internal and external payment flows—including system logic, vendor platform behavior, transaction routing, cost implications, and cardholder experience across all payment types—to effectively support business and technical partners.

What You Have

  • 3-5+ years of experience in payments, analytics, financial services, retail operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience analyzing data and summarizing insights for cross-functional partners
  • Strong experience with Excel, SQL, or analytics tools
  • Ability to learn complex technical and business concepts quickly
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Experience working with vendors or external partners (preferred)
