Purpose

As a Utility Specialist, you will be responsible for all aspects of community solar, net metering, and providing outstanding customer service to Liberty clients and customers. With minimal assistance, provide technical support to company, contractors, and customers pertaining to Community Solar, Net Metering and dealing with damage claims. 

Accountabilities
  • Actively manage and review the net metering process from application receipt, to scheduling, commissioning, and completion. Supervise and participate in all PSC ruling that impact the process and procedure that surround net metering and community solar in all states Liberty Serves. 
  • Stay current with the latest technology and share information with Company personnel. 
  • Contribute to a positive company image by quickly responding to customer needs while meeting company goals and objectives. 
  • Acquire new revenue for the Company by promoting new business and conversions to electrical equipment. 
  • Respond in a timely manner to reports and data requests from the Public Service Commissions, internal Planning and Regulatory, accounting, environmental, executive staff and all other departments as necessary. 
  • Work, with assistance of the corporate team and individually, to attain corporate goals and objectives. 
  • Process and settle damage claims within the Central Region.
Education and Experience
  • (3) years' experience with related type trades or (2) years related utility technical experience required 
  • Technical degree or associate degree related to electrical systems, renewables or HVAC, or equivalent 
  • Detail oriented and proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint 
  • Strong business insight with proven ability to develop strategic solutions to problems
