Position Overview: Always Best Care ofย Fairfax is looking for a highownership, fastthinking Care Staffing & Scheduling Manager (Home Care)ย who thrives in a dynamic homecare environment. This role is critical to our ability to deliver consistent, highquality care to clients and stability to our caregivers.

What This Role Is Really About

You are the daily owner of staffing execution:

    • Ensuring every shift is covered
    • Anticipating gaps before they become emergencies
    • Balancing caregiver availability with client expectations
    • Making realtime decisions that protect care quality

This is not a passive scheduling role.
This is a responsibilityheavy, decisiondriven position.

Key ResponsibilitiesScheduling & Coverage Ownership
    • Build, maintain, and adjust caregiver schedules to ensure 100% coverage
    • Proactively manage callouts, lateness, and availability changes
    • Execute urgent staffing solutions when care disruptions occur
    • Confirm shifts and follow up to prevent noshows
Caregiver Management & Accountability
    • Communicate expectations clearly to caregivers regarding reliability and professionalism
    • Track attendance patterns and escalate issues proactively
    • Support onboarding and training reinforcement related to scheduling standards
    • Maintain strong working relationships while consistently enforcing policy
Client & Team Communication
    • Communicate schedule changes clearly and professionally with clients and families
    • Partner closely with care coordinators and leadership to prioritize cases
    • Document all staffing actions accurately and in real time
Systems & Process Discipline
    • Maintain precise records in scheduling and payroll systems
    • Monitor overtime, hours thresholds, and compliance requirements
    • Use data and patterns to improve scheduling efficiency

    • Minimal lastminute shift coverage gaps
    • Reduced caregiver noshows and callouts
    • Accurate schedules with minimal corrections
    • Strong caregiver responsiveness and accountability
    • Consistent, timely communication with clients and internal staff

Qualifications
