Job description

AI Innovation Strategist
You apply AI in ways that transform our business-and obsessively track your results to prove it
About Fingerpaint
Reset your expectations of a health and wellness agency. From our inception, Fingerpaint has been driven by an unstoppable collective spirit of possibility. It's that curiosity that's at the heart of everything we do. And nowhere is this more apparent than at our applied AI innovation lab, wet paint.
About wet paint
wet paint is Fingerpaint's innovation lab for testing and applying AI, so named for its fresh and fluid spirit of experimentation. We're a small team of high-agency T-shaped makers who love to build new ideas together. We've been busy applying all forms of AI-analytical, predictive, and generative-to deliver higher quality client solutions more efficiently. Without sacrificing security or privacy.
At wet paint, we value:
  • Thinking AI-first
  • Makings, not meetings
  • Demos, not docs or plans
  • An intense bias for action
  • Learn-it-alls who have a strong autodidactic streak
This role reports to the Head of wet paint. Please note that this role requires that you be onsite in our office near Philadelphia a few days per week.
Why We Need You
wet paint is at a critical growth juncture. As we navigate the AI revolution in healthcare advertising, we need a forward-thinking AI Innovation Strategist who can lead the way. You'll be our AI curator and evangelist, strategizing how we turn technological advances into growth-oriented opportunities. Your role is crucial in shaping how we apply AI to grow Fingerpaint's capabilities and revenue.
Here's What You'll Be Doing
As our AI Innovation Strategist, you'll be at the forefront of integrating AI into our agency's workflows and client solutions. You'll wear many hats, from researcher and strategist to storyteller and change agent. On any given day, you might:
  • Develop and implement strategies for applying AI that align with our business objectives and client needs
  • Research emerging AI trends and tech, and conceptualize how we might apply them
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop AI-powered solutions for clients and/or internal processes
  • Craft and present the business case for applied AI solutions
  • Support the development of AI training programs and materials for Fingerpaint employees
  • Present at pitches and client meetings, articulating the value of our AI-powered solutions
  • Contribute to thought leadership content, such as blog posts, looms, or conference presentations on applied AI in healthcare advertising
You Need These Qualifications
  • You're an AI believer, and care deeply about its potential to transform healthcare advertising
  • You're a maker at heart: you get your hands dirty building, not just talking about ideas
  • You spot opportunities early-and have the strong research and analytical skills necessary to chase them down
  • You know how to turn promising ideas into real-world solutions by spearheading R&D, establishing the business case, and managing stakeholders at every level throughout the journey of creation
  • You're a captivating data storyteller (and have borderline persnickety opinions on how to do it, from data viz to presentation design to headline length)
  • You write well. You communicate well. Your EQ is enviable
  • You track performance of all initiatives meticulously, and when someone asks how things are going, you can tell them down to the decimal point. You're allergic to vanity metrics
  • You're comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly-evolving environment and love to learn by doing
It Would Be Nice If
  • You have experience in healthcare, advertising, or technology industries
  • You've worked on AI-related projects or initiatives in a professional or academic setting
  • You have basic programming skills
  • You have a background in one or more of the following: product management, innovation, strategy, research, copywriting, creative direction, computer science, or journalism
  • You've contributed to thought leadership content or presented at industry conferences
Please note that this position requires the ability to work a hybrid schedule of 2 days/week in Philadelphia.
We're looking for a relentless transformer who can help us apply AI in ways that move our business, our people, and our clients forward. If you're passionate about innovation and have a proven record of doing it over and over again, we want to hear from you!
Employment Type: Regular Full Time
