About the Role 

At Ogilvy Health, Copywriters partner with Art Directors to conceive and develop powerful communications that uniquely express a brand, create an emotion and compel an action. They are, are conceptual, strategic-minded and curious people excited to bring ideas to life. They become experts in the medical, legal and editorial needs of the clients. This role requires a gradual decrease in direct supervision. This person will have increasing visibility in internal meetings and (when appropriate) participating in client meetings.

What You'll Do

  • Capable of creating unique, compelling and strategically sound concepts.
  • Participates in internal reviews and can effectively present their work.
  • Has exceptional writing skills for print, digital and video.
  • Proactively engages team to help further define the projects (brand guidelines, customer insights, etc.)
  • Juggle multiple projects and collaborates with team to prioritize workload.
  • Proactively keeps supervisor apprised and seeks counsel appropriately.
  • Proactively builds knowledge of client and brand.
  • Raises hand when additional support is needed or when they are available to help elsewhere.

What You'll Need

  • Two years of copywriting experience in the advertising business.
  • Interest in health and wellness space.
  • Interest in learning or basic experience with Direct-to-Consumer Advertising and FDA guidelines
  • Ability to thoroughly dissect client briefs, understand marketing objectives, target audience, and key messages, translating them into effective copy.
  • Digital Platform Awareness: Understanding of best practices and specific writing nuances for various digital channels (e.g., social media, email marketing, web pages, display ads, video scripts).
  • Basic experience with platforms like WordPress, HubSpot, or similar for direct content entry.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Willingness to pivot quickly, adapt to changing client needs, and work on diverse types of projects.
