Job description

Overview
Steampunk is seeking a leader for the role of Director of Health Strategy to support the pursuit of new business opportunities as well as ongoing delivery of services to our Federal Health clients. This leader will work closely with our internal teams, existing, and prospective clients to translate the value Steampunk capabilities to use cases and strategies that advance the federal health ecosystem. This leader must have a broad understanding of technology, cloud computing, digital platform, and data management ecosystems within the federal health market.
Contributions
The selected candidate will be responsible for growing the Steampunk Federal Health Sector through the pursuit of new business and expansion of existing business. This individual will be a subject matter expert broadly for federal health agencies and work closely with our technologists and sales teams to apply Steampunk capabilities to federal health use cases. The individual will develop and maintain strong relationships with federal agency clients to identify business opportunities and support the capture of those opportunities through the sales, capture, and proposal development process. For existing engagements, this individual will help be the customer advocate for our delivery teams, providing subject matter expertise and working closely with them to make sure we are delivering on the true value of the engagement and identifying opportunities for expansion.
Qualifications
  • Preference for prior experience with federal health agencies
  • An entrepreneurial desire to build a business and a strong "self-starter"
  • Understanding of the federal technology market including cloud computing, digital platforms, and data systems
  • Existing relationships with senior agency leaders and proven ability to identify new customers, participate in customer calls, developing white papers and presentations.
  • Working knowledge of Federal contracts, procurement process and proposal development activities
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work in a matrixed team environment and have strong communication skills (verbal/written)
  • Master's Degree in a related health or technology field preferred
