Job description

Position Information Amended: 08/28/26. This is a continuous recruitment and may close at any time without notice. Examinations: Appraisal (Weight 100%): of training, education, experience, interest and personal fitness for the work based on any combination of the following: Investigation, oral exam and rating of application.

Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the examination process. Should an oral exam be necessary, the oral exam will be weighted 100%. Minimum Qualifications /Employment Standards: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university which provided for acquisition of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities AND Five (5) years of fiscal or senior administrative experience in a hospital, medical office, or health plan setting.

Qualifying experience must include two (2) years as a supervisor/manager. Additional years of experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of two (2) years. Qualifying related work experience may include: health plan administrator, health plan program manager; medical office administration; negotiation of health care provider reimbursement agreements; public relations; labor relations; budget input and monitoring; management and supervision of staff.

Some positions may require possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Driver's License. Additional Information Admittance to the examination will require a valid government issued photograph identification. Applicants who are unable to present proper identification must make arrangements with the Human Resources Division prior to the test date. A background check may be conducted for this classification.
