What We Need:

The Clinical Informatics Manager is a strategic leader responsible for advancing clinical informatics services to support high-quality patient care and organizational performance. You will drive the design, optimization, and adoption of clinical information systems, ensuring alignment with clinical workflows, safety standards, and enterprise priorities.

You will Work closely with clinical, technical, and Enterprise Applications teams, translating clinical needs into effective digital solutions that enhance clinician experience and enable data-driven decision-making.

This position will lead a team of clinical informatics professionals and oversee key initiatives such as CPOE optimization, clinical documentation, clinical decision support, and go-live/change management. Playing a critical role in bridging clinical practice with technology to improve workflow efficiency and system performance.

This role reports to the Director, Digital Solutions, and has direct accountability for Clinical Informatics Specialists, Clinical Informatics Pharmacists, and Digital Solutions Practice Leaders.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field

  • Registered clinical professional designation (preferred)

  • 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience, including people management and team development

  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in IT, Clinical Informatics, application management, and/or digital health operations

  • 5-7 years of clinical experience, with a strong understanding of frontline workflows

  • Proven experience managing EHR and corporate application planning, implementation, and support

  • Demonstrated experience working directly with clinicians (physicians, nursing, and allied health) to analyze, design, and optimize clinical workflows

  • Strong knowledge of clinical systems, integration, and application dependencies

  • Familiarity with healthcare technology platforms such as MEDITECH, Epic, GE, and Philips

  • Strong understanding of workflows across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical settings

  • Experience with CPOE, clinical documentation, order sets, referrals, and clinical decision support

  • Ability to translate clinical needs into effective digital system requirements

  • Knowledge of patient safety, quality standards, best practice, and regulatory requirements impacting clinical systems

  • Understanding of data integrity, clinical analytics, and data-driven decision-making

  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop clinical informatics teams

  • Contribute to Digital Health roadmap planning and operational strategy

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, contract reviews, and cost optimization initiatives

  • Demonstrated a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital-related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required
