Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for operational accounting, managing/reconciling general ledger accounts, researching and resolving variances, preparing journal entries and preparing various spreadsheets
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for maintaining/reconciling certain general ledger accounts and researching and resolving variances
  • Prepare adjusting entries, accruals, and closing entries to maintain the accuracy, completeness and integrity of the accounting records and to facilitate an efficient accounting close process
  • Responsible for maintaining certain processes documentation
  • Run close process in NetSuite and post close reports
  • Review POs monthly for accruals and close POs when out of date
  • Assist with intercompany charges billed to other Canon entities
  • Assist with gathering information for annual tax return preparation
  • Prepare various financial reports for management and Canon
  • Assist with forecasting and budgeting
  • File Annual Reports
  • Coordinate with Canon auditors as needed
  • Ensure all activities are in compliance with Company's procedures for internal control
  • Represent Finance and Accounting Department in cross functional projects as needed

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in related position
  • Experience with accounting software and exposure to corporate IT systems and networks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (primarily Excel)
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills

COMPENSATION
$75,310 - $112,970/yr, dependent on experience
In alignment with applicable pay transparency legislation, we disclose the full salary range for this position. Our compensation philosophy is designed to ensure fair and equitable pay practices that are both market-competitive and internally consistent. Salary ranges are established using external market data and are inteded to reflect the full scope of experience, skills, and proficiency levels associated with the role.
As part of our standard hiring practice, we aim to extend offers at or near the midpoint of the range for candidates who are fully qualified and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and experience required to perform the role interpedently and effectively. Final compensation decisions may very based on individual qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors, while remaining within the established range.
