Job description

Human Factors Engineer
The Opportunity:
When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software development-and that means rigorous testing. That's why we need you, a knowledgeable test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.
As a test engineer on our team, you'll work with the Army client to evaluate software developed for Enterprise Network Operations. You'll work on creating a test plan with test cases based on user stories. Using automation to streamline, using automated and manual processes, you'll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool.
This is an opportunity to leverage your skills by writing the code to test. You'll also further your experience in applying principles of human-centered design and ergonomics to optimize the interaction between people and systems, conduct user research, task analysis, and usability studies to understand user needs and behaviors, design and evaluate interfaces, workflows, and systems for optimal human performance and safety, apply cognitive psychology, ergonomics, and human factors principles to product development and ensure compliance with relevant standards, such as ISO, ANSI/HFES, and FDA Human Factors guidance.
