Job description

SSC Advisors is seeking a Kansas-based Human Resources Manager to join our team immediately. This position is essential for managing activities such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management and talent management.

The job of HR Manager is important to business success. People are our most important asset and the HR Manager, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, ensures we have a happy and productive workplace where everyone works to realize our mission: Propel our owners and clients to their highest level of success.

This is an onsite position, but position may be located in any of the Kansas SSC locations: Lawrence, Overland Park, Salina, or Topeka. This position does require travel to various firm locations.

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.
  • Manage the recruitment, selection and onboarding process.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems and procedures across the organization to comply with regulations.
  • Nurture a positive working environment.
  • Manage the SSC Competency model and its evolution to drive high performance.
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
  • Oversee HRIS and Recruiting profiles and systems.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven 3-5 years of experience in human resources or related roles.
  • People oriented and results driven.
  • SHRM Certification.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
  • Deep curiosity about technology and how systems, especially Microsoft systems, can support efficiency.
