Principal Process Manager-Network Authorization Health & Compliance

As a Principal Process Manager at Capital One, you will be part of a smart, talented team responsible for creating and enhancing processes that deliver excellence to your customereachtime. The Principal Process Manager will play a key role in delivering processes that impact the company's bottom line. Our Network Authorization Health & Compliance Family is growing - bringing the Network into the Capital One ecosystem. Our goal is to ensure a smooth transition, establish a strong operational foundation, and set the stage for future investment and growth. As a part of the team, you will:

  • Serve as a key liaison between the Network Authorization during all process reviews, internal and external audits - ensuring the Network Authorization is properly represented, identifying roadblocks and supporting their resolution

  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on recommendations for process definition, governance adoption, and issue management as it relates to compliance and regulatory demands

  • Drive best in class process and governance definition and adoption across the department using tools such as Blue Works Live to visualize the functions that exist both within our authorization platforms and manual processes

  • Lead department wide efforts to conduct self-testing of Controls on a regular cadence and ensure those controls continue to drive acceptable risk tolerance results

  • The candidate will be expected to query data to derive insights to support regulatory compliance and audit related needs

General Responsibilities:

  • Leading and owning oversight of smaller process improvement work and collaborating with teammates on larger initiatives

  • Collecting data and information and using analytics and reporting to provide transparency to senior leadership and executives

  • Identify and implement process improvements driving issue resolution/risk mitigation activities

  • Tracking and resolving process breakdowns

  • Understanding customers' needs of the process and driving process improvements

  • Developing and maintaining formal process documentation including procedures and process flow diagramsActing as a subject matter expert to effectively partner with project customers to achieve desired outcome or improvement by clarifying needs and providing appropriate solutions

  • May lead a team and/or direct others on projects

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED orequivalent certification

  • At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office or G Suite

  • At least1year of process management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degreeor military experience

  • Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Project Management certification

  • At least1year of experience in Compliance or Risk Management

  • At least2years of experience in Process Management

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
