Job description

Are you a Behavioral Health Assistant (BHA) looking for a FRESH START in Avenal, CA? If so, we can help YOU! HANSTAFF is a nationwide healthcare staffing company. We're looking for you to become a valued member of the healthcare team at our client's medical facility!
Pay Rate: $38.50 / hour
Shift details: 0700-1700
Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and support to psychiatric patients under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
  • Observe, monitor, and document patients' physical, emotional, and behavioral conditions.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
  • Take and record vital signs and collect specimens as needed.
  • Support therapeutic activities and encourage patient participation in treatment programs.
  • Implement individualized patient care plans while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Communicate patient observations and concerns to the interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Assist with the orientation and training of new Behavioral Health Assistants when assigned.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and required clinical training to maintain competency.
