Job description

Wellness Advisor | Sales & Customer Service

Help People Feel Better. Build Relationships. Make a Difference.

At Elements Massage San Mateo, we're more than a massage and skincare studio—we're a wellness destination dedicated to helping people feel their best.

Our mission is simple:

To better the lives of everyone we serve.

At Elements Massage, this role is officially called a Wellness Membership Advisor (WMA). As one of our Wellness Advisors, you'll play a key role in helping clients improve their health and well-being.

Your success comes down to two things:

  • Helping clients commit to their wellness by enrolling them in our Wellness Program.
  • Matching every client with the massage therapist or esthetician who best fits their individual needs, preferences, and wellness goals.

If you love building relationships, enjoy sales, and take pride in delivering exceptional customer service, we'd love to meet you.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Welcome every client with warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm.
  • Deliver an exceptional experience in person, over the phone, by text, and through email.
  • Build lasting relationships through genuine conversations and personalized recommendations.
  • Learn about each client's goals, preferences, and concerns to confidently match them with the massage therapist or esthetician best suited to their needs.
  • Educate clients on the benefits of regular massage, skincare, and the Elements Wellness Program.
  • Confidently guide clients through our proven membership sales process.
  • Recommend service enhancements that enhance each client's experience.
  • Help keep our massage therapists' and estheticians' schedules full through advance booking, proactive follow-up, and client outreach.
  • Process appointments, payments, and retail purchases, including esthetician-recommended products.
  • Work closely with your teammates to deliver an outstanding client experience every day.

You'll Be Successful If You...

  • Love connecting with people and building lasting relationships.
  • Enjoy sales and are confident asking for the sale.
  • Have a natural ability to understand people's needs and connect them with the right massage therapist or esthetician.
  • Are motivated by goals, commissions, bonuses, and personal achievement.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail.
  • Are organized, dependable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Are coachable, positive, and eager to learn and grow.

Experience in sales, hospitality, customer service, retail, fitness, medical offices, membership sales, or the spa industry is a plus—but not required. We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, outstanding communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping people. We'll provide the training, coaching, and support you need to succeed.

What We Offer

  • Starting pay of $19/hour, depending on experience.
  • Monthly commissions and performance bonuses.
  • Paid training and ongoing coaching.
  • Preventive managed healthcare benefits for eligible employees.
  • CalSavers Roth IRA.
  • One complimentary massage or facial each month for employees working 20+ hours per week.
  • Employee discounts on services and retail products.
  • A supportive, team-oriented culture that celebrates success and invests in your professional growth.

If you're looking for a career where you can help people feel their best, build meaningful relationships, grow your sales skills, and be rewarded for your performance, we'd love to hear from you!
