Position: Mobile Equipment Safety Trainer

Employment:Full-time/Part-time

Location:Richmond Hill, ON

Worksite Safety Compliance Centreis looking to grow our current team of instructors, specifically for the delivery of our mobile equipment safety training classes (boom lift and scissor lift). This position is currently open and will be based at our new Training Centre in Richmond Hill, Ontario, and occasionally at other locations within the area. Based on candidate experience, there is also an opportunity for this instructor to deliver our CPO-approved Working at Heights Program. This could be a full-time or part-time position, depending on candidate availability.


As a Worksite Safety instructor yourkey responsibilities are:


  • Delivering engaging and informative mobile equipment training to workers and job seekers
  • Evaluating participants through practical skills and written evaluation
  • Organizing, filing and submitting digital and hard copy participant records following training
  • Potentially delivering other courses, including Working at Heights training
  • Participating in team meetings and instructor development workshops


The right candidate will have the followingqualifications and experience:


  • 3+ years experience delivering training (MEWP preferred, forklift, Working at Heights and others may be considered an asset)
  • Forklift, mobile elevated work platforms and any other mobile equipment operating experience
  • Background in construction management and/or material handling industry
  • Work experience or certification in occupational health & safety preferred
  • Strong interest educating people on the importance and value of health & safety training
  • Self-starter who is able to work independently, while also contributing to a team
  • Strong presentation and adult-engagement skills
  • Valid Ontarios Driver Licence - occasional travel by car for work
  • Able to legally work in Canada
