Résumé du poste :

Ce poste relève du contrôleur de la santé et de la sécurité environnementale et du responsable régional de la sécurité. Le poste dirige, surveille et assiste dans un large éventail de fonctions analytiques, techniques, procédurales, procédurales, de gestion des réclamations et administratives liées à la sécurité et à la conformité réglementaire.  Ce poste est responsable de fournir des orientations générales, des orientations, des conseils et des exigences dans tous les domaines de la sécurité et de la santé au travail pour une expertise spécialisée dans les domaines spécifiques à l'industrie, aux programmes et aux techniques de la sécurité et de la santé. Le titulaire effectuera des audits de sécurité sur le terrain des locaux clients, effectuera des évaluations des risques, complétera l'analyse, la mesure et les rapports selon les directives, effectuera des enquêtes post-accident, formera et formera tous les niveaux de gestion et d'employés, complétera toutes les actions et activités requises des programmes de sécurité des clients et de l'entreprise, et prendra toutes les mesures appropriées pour assurer la conformité à toutes les règles provinciales et internes.  Règlements et normes.

   Sous la direction du contrôleur de la santé et de la sécurité environnementales, le gestionnaire régional de la sécurité est l'expert régional et la ressource en matière de sécurité et de santé au travail. Ainsi, le gestionnaire régional de la sécurité travaillera en étroite collaboration avec tous les niveaux de personnel régional et de contrôleurs régionaux afin d'améliorer ou de maintenir tous les aspects de la performance en matière de sécurité et santé au travail, de réduire les expositions, les blessures, les risques et les coûts, et d'identifier et maximiser les occasions d'affaires pour l'entreprise.

Fonctions essentielles :

  • Communiquer l'information liée à la sécurité à tous les niveaux de la région
  • Effectuer des visites de sites clients et des audits
  • Mener des enquêtes sur les accidents
  • Analyser les informations sur les pertes et identifier les tendances et solutions
  • Offrir de la formation dans divers contexts

Niveau minimum d'éducation/compétences/compétences :

  • Expérience éducative dans le domaine de la sécurité au travail ou dans un domaine étroitement lié
  • L'expérience de travail en sécurité, santé au travail et/ou gestion des risques est utile
  • La volonté de suivre des cours prescrits et continus, des cours ou toute autre formation et/ou certification est requise
  • Bilingue (français/anglais)

Job Summary: This position reports to the Environmental Health and Safety Controller and Regional Safety Manager Lead. The position directs, monitors, and assists with wide range of analytical, technical, process, procedural, claims management and administrative functions related to safety, and regulatory compliance.  This position is responsible for provision of general guidance, direction, advice, and requirements in all areas of occupational safety & health for specialized expertise in designated industry specific, program, and technical areas of safety & health. Incumbent will perform field safety audits of client premises, conduct risk assessments, complete analysis, measurement, and reports as directed, do post-accident investigations, coach and educate all levels of management and employees, complete all required actions & activities of client and company safety programs, and take all appropriate action to ensure compliance with all provincial, and internal rules, regulations and standards.

   Under direction of the Environmental Health and Safety Controller, the Regional Safety Manager is the regional expert and resource in occupational safety & health. As such, the Regional Safety Manager will work closely with all levels of regional staffs and regional controllers to improve or maintain all areas of occupational safety & health performance, to reduce exposures, injuries, risks, and costs, and to identify and maximize business opportunities for the company.

  • Perform client site visits, audits
  • Conduct accident investigations
  • Analyze loss information and identify trends/solutions
  • Provide training in variety of settings

Minimum Education/Abilities/Skills:

  • Educational experience in the area of occupational safety or a closely related field
  • Work experience in safety, occupational health and/or risk management is helpful
  • Willingness to complete prescribed and continuing classes, coursework, or other education and/or certification is required
  • Bi-lingual (French/English)

Per Pay Transparency Acts: The range for this position is $75,000 - $115,000 + annual bonus potential
