  • SHIFT: WEDNESDAY TO SUNDAY, 9:00PM-5:00AM
  • FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT
  • REPORTS TO: SR. MANAGER NETWORK OPERATIONS
SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Sr. Manager Network Operations, the Desktop Support Analyst is responsible for the installation and connectivity of computer desktops, laptops, and other user equipment, including installing, configuring, and supporting all desktop software applications and computer peripherals such as keyboards, mice, monitors, and printers. This position is located in Milpitas, California.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Installs, maintains, connects, and performs both routine and preventative maintenance of computer desktops, laptops, and other user equipment
  • Installs, configures, updates, and supports all desktop applications and computer peripherals such as keyboards, mice, monitors, and printers
  • Troubleshoots and problem solves various routine software and hardware issues
  • Identifies and resolves network problems impacting end user performance; escalates complex issues to other IT support personnel when needed
  • Coordinates projects of limited scope and schedule as needed
  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures as required
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level*
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of hands-on experience working in a desktop support position
  • Experience with computer hardware and software installation
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software application installation, including Windows desktop operating system, TCP/IP communications, and DHCP leases
  • Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office applications to create spreadsheets, Word documents, and presentations
  • Familiarity with Fortinet, CrowdStrike, Zscaler, Duo, Aruba, Azure, & M/O365 a plus.
  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of contractors, consultants, employees, and management
  • Able to work productively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management
  • Able to comply with all safety policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and trouble shooting skills
  • Flexible and able to prioritize

The hourly rate for this full-time position is between $26.00-$33.00 + bonus target + benefits. Within the range the individual pay may differ depending on additional factors including job responsibilities, job related knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience. The hourly pay range shown is subject to change and may be modified periodically.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The Desktop Support Analyst works primarily in an office environment from Wednesday thru Sunday. The schedule may be altered from time-to-time to meet business or operational needs; may travel from building-to-building as needed. Infrequently, may also work in a class 100 ESD sensitive wafer manufacturing facility; wears a cleanroom (bunny) suit, including hood, gloves, safety glasses, booties, and mask. May be exposed to hazardous conditions, chemicals, fumes, and/or gases during the course of workday; may be exposed to loud noise. Stands, walks, bends, twists, and crawls. Performs various fine grasping movements; operates a computer and enters information using a keyboard, operates a telephone, and other office equipment; may occasionally be required to push, pull, or lift up to 10 pounds.
