The Head of supply is responsible for providing unparalleled customer service at all times. He supports the director in supervising store management activities in order to maximize results and, together with the latter, he defines objectives and clearly communicates expectations to the management team. He acts as a mobilizer and ensures uniformity in personnel management. As Head of supply you will: · Provide leadership and management of procurement teams for all departments to achieve sales, profit and labor objectives. · Present strategic direction and vision for the procurement function. · Take responsibility for sales forecasts and weekly plans for the procurement team and ensure they are updated. · Review transfers between departments and ensure execution and review weekly expenses to promote department profitability. · Implement loss prevention strategies. · Facilitate the transfer of knowledge of products and services to colleagues in procurement and all departments of the store to enable them to better answer customer questions. · Share knowledge of procurement and services and products in all departments, answer customer questions and help them make choices. · Use available reports to identify inventory opportunities and take appropriate action to optimize inventory. · Present strategic direction and vision for the procurement function. · Take responsibility for the training and onboarding of team members and ensure that they feel supported and empowered to carry out their role to expected standards, including through coaching and motivating team members personnel during a change. · Ensure the training of the management team so that they are able to in turn train their staff. · Identify development opportunities within and across teams for procurement colleagues.
