We are seeking an experienced, dynamic Head Server to lead our floor team and elevate our guest experience.

Position Overview

As a Head Server, you will be the anchor of our front-of-house service. You aren't just taking orders—you are orchestrating the flow of the dining room, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring every guest experiences the peak of our hospitality. You will master our extensive sushi, hot kitchen, sake, and cocktail menus, acting as a primary guide for both guests and floor staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by Example: Provide upscale, high-energy, and attentive service to tables while maintaining an oversight view of the dining floor.

  • Team Mentorship: Assist management in training, onboarding, and guiding junior servers and bussers to maintain our operational standards.

  • Menu Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of our sushi offerings, izakaya-style small plates, sake pairings, and Japanese spirits to drive sales and enhance the guest experience.

  • Floor Coordination: Manage table turns, support host and bar teams during peak hours, and proactively resolve any guest service issues with grace and professionalism.

  • Operational Integrity: Ensure side-work, opening/closing checklists, and sanitation standards are executed flawlessly by the service team.

What We Are Looking For
  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of high-volume serving experience (experience in a premium sushi, izakaya, or upscale Asian-fusion concept is highly preferred).

  • Leadership Skills: Natural ability to motivate a team, maintain composure under pressure, and solve problems on the fly.

  • Knowledge: Strong baseline knowledge of sake, wine, and spirits. A passion for Japanese cuisine is a major plus.

  • Availability: Flexible schedule, including weekends and late nights. Dedication to punctuality and reliability is non-negotiable.

  • Certifications: Valid BASSET and Food Handler certifications required.
